Competition Schedule
Round one (completed)
Applicants to the 2008 pipeworks competition submitted a recording of Dietrich Buxtehude: Praeambulum in a, BuxWV 158 and Olivier Messiaen: Second movement (Alleluias sereins d'une âme qui désire le ciel) from L'Ascension.
The 16 successful competitors have now been announced and will compete in the quarter-finals in Dublin starting on the 23 June 2008.
Quarterfinals
The quarterfinals will get underway on 23 and 24 June 2008 in Dublin's Christ Church Cathedral.
Semifinals
The semi finals will take place on Thursday 26 June 2008 in Dublin's Christ Church Cathedral.
Competition final
The competition final will be held on Saturday 28 June 2008, beginning at 7.30 pm in Christ Church Cathedral.
