Competition Schedule
Round one
Applicants for the 2011 pipeworks competition must submit a recording of the following pieces:
1. Dietrich Buxtehude: TOCCATA IN D BuxWV 155
2. Louis Vierne: IMPROMPTU (PIÈCES DE FANTAISIE)
The successful competitors will be announced on 1 March 2011 and will compete in the quarter-finals in Ireland starting in June 2011.
Quarterfinals
Quarterfinals A (CROSSHAVEN, CO CORK)
A 25 minute programme of the competitor’s choice, to include a work BY JAN PIETERSZOON SWEELINCK.
Quarterfinals B (DUNDALK, CO LOUTH)
A 25 minute programme of the competitor's choice, to include a work BY FRANZ LISZT.
Semifinals
A 35 minute programme of the competitor’s choice, to include a work BY JEHAN ALAIN.
Competition final
A forty minute programme of the competitor's completely free choice.
